  • Windtex has just employed James Rothwell as the new rope access & blade repair project manager. James has been working in the rope access industry since 2005 and more recently moved into the wind industry in 2011.

    In the past 8 years, James has achieved great things, helping his previous company grow to be a leading blade repair company. Now, he is going to bring his knowledge and experience to Windtex and expand our customer base through new marketing channels.

  • A few of James’ previous projects include;

    • An integral member of the first offshore blade retrofit campaign in 2011 at Horns Rev 2 in Esbjerg, Denmark.
    • Rope access project manager for the first ultra-sonic blade repair inspection test on multiple sites across the UK.
    • Project manager for Europe’s largest wind farm (at the time) carrying out LPS and PCU retrofits.

Over James’ time as operations manager for his previous company, he has managed over 300 technicians and 4 project managers and has successfully & safely completed 137 projects to date.

The move comes at the perfect time for the company and James, and Windtex are excited to have him strengthen the company’s presence in the wind industry.
